Full Programme

We are thrilled to announce the Annual Congress of the Belgian Society of Internal Medicine, taking place on December 6th and 7th, 2024, at Dolce La Hulpe. This year’s congress will feature a range of topics pivotal to the field, including groundbreaking research on once-weekly insulin for diabetes management and in-depth workshops on infectious diseases, focusing on immunosuppression and vaccination and the clinical cases.
Additionally, the congress will highlight the practical application of point-of-care ultrasound, providing hands-on practice essential for accurate diagnostics.

The second day will address current and emerging topics such as vaccines and the latest advancements in immunotherapies, an interesting lecture on General Internal Medicine in Climate Change and a session decicated to General Internal Medicine: Past and Future (with a Panel Discussion).

Other Special sessions like the Young Internists Corner will offer case discussions to foster learning and engagement among younger professionals. The congress will also feature an Investigators Award session, showcasing significant research contributions, and a Professional Union Session to discuss key issues in internal medicine.
